text-align: justify;">As we begin moving into this new biblical year of Ayin Aleph 5771, one of the aspects is seeing in a new way. The first thing that often happens when we see is that we judge. I think it’s human nature to compartmentalize something or someone right away or to make assumptions based on our upbringing or past experience. There are many verses in the Bible that refer to judging. I Cor. 4:5 says to “…judge nothing before the appointed time…” and I Cor. 2:15 says “The spiritual man makes judgments about all things….” So when do we judge?

I believe that we are not to judge someone's heart and motives, but there are times when we are called to judge their actions. 1 Cor. 6:2 says we will judge the world and even angels. Jesus himself instructed us how to judge in Matthew 7. We have so much more compassion and love to help someone that is struggling when we’ve first dealt with the issue in ourselves. It’s such a revelation to realize that we don’t know everything! God takes every individual person through their own individualized training and healing to prepare them for their specific call.

Lord extend Your mercy over us and forgive all past hypocritical judgments and help us to love each other as we love ourselves!
